At the April meeting, we met a nice young man named, Eric Fielbrandt. He is the owner of Thumb Area Sign & Design. He brought in a sample sign he made for a tractor. It looked great and he sells them for $5.00. They are available in a variety of colors. Eric also offered to donate a banner to the club to display at Frankenmuth Bavarian Festival. If you would like one of the placards for your tractor, contact Eric at 989-737-3022.

April 2010 Trash Pickup

Our Adopt-a-Highway program was a huge success! Many thanks to all who turned out on a relatively cold April morning. It took us nearly 4 hours, but we cleaned both sides of the highway. We expect an easier time when we do this again. There was certainly a lot of large trash. We collected nearly 75 trash bags + various other items like tires, fenders & other non-baggable items. We had a great support crew and pickers. We learned a lot and are certain that the next time will go faster! Thanks to Jeannie & Gera Tavern for ordering and receiving our pizzas (even though we were late getting to them!). Many, many thanks to Bud Davidson for really taking control of this activity. Everything was very organized and we had an excellent turnout.
