Fall Family Days at the Thumb Octagon Barn

One of our club members, Louis Wehrmann is very active with the Octagon Barn in Gagetown. Today & tomorrow is their Fall Family Days event. This event features hundreds of flea market vendors selling everything imaginable as well as demonstrations of various equipment including a Bay City Shovel and a sawmill. There are also many antique tractors on display and tons of activities and events for the whole family. And all of that is in addition to checking out the immensely cool Octagon Barn itself. If you haven’t been to the barn before, I highly recommend you make the trip.

2011 Gera Old Tractor Club Pig Roast & Collector Calendar Sale

It’s that time of year again! Time for a delicious pig roast at the Gera Tavern. This is also the first opportunity for the public to get their hands on the Gera Old Tractor Calendar.
Location: Gera Tavern – M-83 North of Frankenmuth
When: May 15th, 2011
We serve a great meal consisting of pulled pork and sides and dessert. The price is $8.00 per plate.
There will also be a raffle drawing. Tickets are available from club members or at the Gera Tavern.
Collectors Calendars will be available for $4.00 at the pig roast and aftewards from club members. Don’t miss your chance to get one for your shed!
Nexteer Family Day 2010 (Formerly Delphi Days)

As it has in the past, the Gera Old Tractor Club participated with a family fun event at a local business, Nexteer Steering. We brought our tractors out to cart people around the parking lot and add a fun element to transportation at the event. The kids love seeing and hearing the old tractors and riding on the barrel ride.
Here are some pictures from the event which took place on 9/11/2010. We hope that we have an opportunity to do this again next year, it is a really fun event.

New Feature! Event Calendar

We’ve added an event calendar to the site. I’ll be posting all the dates and times for club activities and club meetings as well as various activities. This should help everyone to keep up with our activities and know what is going on. I’ve only added activities for June and July so far, but we’ll get all of the planned activities included shortly.

Delphi Days

The club plans to participate in Delphi Days again in 2010. This event was cancelled in 2009 and we are SO happy to have the event happening again in the community. What a good sign!
September 18th is the day for Delphi Days. We will need club members to help with people movers. Let Jerry Daenzer know if you are interested!
