We are here at the showgrounds, corner of M-46 & M-83, come on over and join us!  Weather is cooler than yesterday, lots of antique tractors on display.  Horse driven hayrides, a corn husking demo later today, and tractor pulls starting at 1pm!  So much excitement for a Sunday!  Also, if you want to put your tractor on the dyno, see one of the Gera Old Tractor club members at the gate, they will direct you to the place!  Look forward to seeing you here!

Saturday Tractor Pulls

We had such a great show today!  We are looking for more good times tomorrow!  Here’s some photos from the Saturday Tractor Pulls.  We’ll post video soon (once we get somewhere with a little faster Internet Connection!). These pictures are all from the evening modified pull.   We have lots of photos as well from the antique pulls earlier in the day.  Everyone at the Gera Old Tractor Days wants to say a big thank you to Gus Dembowski for organizing the pulls, our sponsors (to be listed individually later) who made this possible, and our visitors for coming out to support the club and enjoy the day with us.

Auction Time

Just in case you forgot, tonight is our Friday Night consignment auction.

So, head on over to the corner of M-46 and M-83 and bring your checkbook!

We’ve got a lot of great items up for the auction this year. We are hoping that you will come and join us for fun and hopefully snag a great deal.

Starts at 6:30, so you still have time to get here! 

We have food and beverages available as well.

Only a few days until SHOW TIME

We are getting ready for the show.  The next few days all involve LOTS of show activities!

Wednesday, June 9th – Jerry & Others planning to go and get the corn for the husker demonstration. If you want to help, get ahold of Jerry.

View from 2009 Show Thursday, June 10th – Tractors arrive at the showgrounds!  Carol Rohloff will be on hand from 12pm to 7pm to register tractors and accept items for the consignment auction.

Then, in the afternoon on Thursday, club members will be on hand at Reinbolds to erect the fence, set up tents and make sure things are ready to go.

Friday, June 11th – In the morning, Bean Soup will get started.  Carol will be on hand from 12pm to 5pm to recieve items for consignment and register tractors.

At 6:30pm the Consignment auction will be held at the showgrounds. Thanks so much to Jerry Hecht and staff for helping us with this project. If you have a donation or consignment item, please bring it before 5pm.  Kiddie Train

Saturday, June 12th – SHOW DAY! Antique Tractor Pulls at 11am and the modified tractors will pull starting at 4pm.

Sunday, June 13th – SHOW DAY! Dyno testing from 10am to 1pm and MMMTPA pulls starting at 1pm.  ‘

Monday, June 14th – Clean up day!

We need volunteers for virtually every one of these days. If you’d like to participate in our club and get involved in the Gera Old Tractor Days, please contact us by email. We would be so glad to have you!

Volunteers & Vendors Needed

The Gera Old Tractor Days is looking for both vendors and volunteers for our show in June of 2010. Show dates are June 12th and June 13th of 2010.

 

Vendors: Vending space is $25.00. We are looking for craft vendors or other vendors that are complimentary to a tractor show.  We strive for high quality vendors selling merchandise that our visitors are interested in. If you are interested in reserving vending space, please send us an email. 

 

Volunteers:  Do you love antique tractors? Want to get involved with our club? A great way to start out is to get involved with our tractor show.  We need volunteers in all areas including, admissions gate, parking, merchandise sales, food sales, vendor management, tractor registration. Pretty much, you name if, we could use your help!  If you are interested, please send us an email!

Volunteers Needed, Auction Items Needed, Show Update

So, after a very exciting and information packed meeting tonight I have a lot of info to post on the site. We’ll get everything updated and posted in the next day or so, but felt it was very important to make the following announcements now!

Volunteers Needed!

We need volunteers for the show days on Saturday and Sunday.  Volunteers do not have to pay the admission fee. We just ask that you put in a few hours work either parking cars, serving food, registering tractors, helping at consignment auction or some other volunteer activity.If you are interested in volunteering, please send us an email. 

Auction Items Needed!

Also, we still need items for the Friday Night Auction.  We are accepting donated items (100% of the proceeds of the sale of the item go to the Club) and consignment items (50% goes to the Club, and 50% goes to the seller).  We will be receiving the items on Thursday from 11am to 7pm and Friday from 12pm to 5pm.  If you’d like to commit to providing an item, please send us an email.
