So, there are a number of activities taking place this weekend for the members of our club & members of our community.
Nexteer Steering (Formerly Delphi) is hosting an employee appreciation event. Our club members will be using their old tractors and people movers to transport the attendees from the parking lot to the event. We also will have a tent set up to sell TShirts and Hats to the attendees. This is usually a fun event for the club and is also a fundraiser for our annual tractor show. If you are interested in participating, please contact Jerry Daenzer. He plans to be at Nexteer on Saturday morning (9/11/2010) at 8:30am. The event kicks off around 10am and runs until 4pm.
This weekend is also the Octagon Barn Family Farm Days event in Gagetown. This event takes place on Saturday and Sunday and includes a tractor show and hundreds of exhibitors and high quality crafters. They are also having a fish fry on Friday night. Club member Louis Wehrmann is very active with the Octagon Barn. Exhibitor spaces are sold out, but it is a great event to attend as a spectator.
And, if we didn’t have enough happening this weekend it is also Frankenmuth Auto Fest. This event kicks off on Friday night with a street party on Main Street downtown. Their will be hundreds of cars on display on Main Street Friday night and also in Heritage Park on Saturday and Sunday. A number of our club members also are interested in antique and classic cars. I expect several club members to be displaying their car collections at this show. It is always fun and interesting to see the classic cars. Frankenmuth is FunTown.
So, if you can’t find something fun to do this weekend, you aren’t looking hard enough! Hope to see you around this weekend!
